Arrested to Arrested Development: 120 - Whistler's Mother

"Michael, do you have any idea what it's like to have a sibling who has no source of income except for you?"
"Just one? No, I don't. It sounds wonderful, though."

It's time we start whistling down to the final climax of our first season of dear old Arrested Development...

20 Minutes later, the whistles had to be confiscated.

Uncle Oscar, AKA "Pop-pop with hair" shows up with his lemon grove on his back while the kids think it's not Oscar but actually Pop-pop in disguise conspiring to run away to Mexico... Little do we know at the time, this would be foreshadow for just that.
Lindsy proves once and for all she's all about saving the world by protesting "the war" while inconsequently exposing her sexuality.
Lucille wants to actually attempt at working for her family's company and work off an old family-flame.
And for the first time of the season, Gob and Tobias join forces against Michael as the inevitable "Gobias."

As I've stated earlier, there are constant, running gags on this show, one of them foreshadowed early on in the season when George Michael first visits Papa Bluth in prison (remember when Oz terrified him of prison?) to which George Michael Sr. in a brief broken down moment of despair cries out "Give Pop-pop your hair!" to young George Michael. For any casual Development-goer, that could have just been a funny sign of George Michael Sr. appearing crazy and babbling in his moments of weakness behind bars. But alas, he was actually referring to his twin brother Oscar, who is quite literally the exact opposite of Mr. Bluth.
While George is stern, forgetful, unaware and careless about most of life's situations that don't apply directly to him, Oscar is the nature-loving, lemon-growing hippie who seemingly wants to reach out to his long, lost family but like all the other Bluth's, is just attempting to squeeze some lemonade from Michael's piggy bank.

However, one thing George and Oscar do share in common is their love for Lucille...

...No matter how either of them show their affection.

This sheds some light on the fact that maybe... just Maeby... the bizarre incest-but not really-family attraction is more hereditary than not.

The writers finally find a way to make use of Lindsay...

...But are clearly in on the joke, when an oblivious Lucille drives past, after feeling like her sons don't need her.
"Now there's someone who could have used a good mother... [yells out the window] WHORE!"

And please...

...Someone go grab me a cup.
