Arrested to Arrested Development: 113 - Beef Consomme

"Oh for God's sakes, he's on his own for two days and he joins a gang."


   After a long string of "will they/won't they" questions regarding the Michael-Marta-Gob love triangle, things are finally resolved with real, hard conflict as not two, but three of the Bluth brothers literally fight to win Marta's heart.
  That's right, and for a key moment, Buster realizes he too is in love with Marta.
Mixed signals are flagged down left and right and confusion, complexity and commitment make fools out of our three amigos as the adventures of the Bluth's continues.

  A great opening would foreshadow the end events of the episode when Gob swears to Michael on finding this "hermano" guy and killing him and Buster interrupts, unknowingly interjecting the reveal of "hermano" with "Hey brother!"

It's Science Spanish.

  Michael, realizing Marta has feelings for him in return, wants to keep things quiet as he pursues his finally potential love interest while Gob wants to show his defensive "tough guy" side by standing up to who he thinks is the culprit in the "hermano" scandal...


...To which Gob has his ass handed to him by an actor who previously portrayed Oscar de la Hoya.

We have the good old fashioned sub-plots as George Michael takes hint from Tobias' words that Maeby might not be blood related to the Bluth family, to which Tobias mistakes George asking where babies come from and Lindsay making a deal with Tobias that she will remove an article of clothing for every article of clothing he removes in return, leading to actual intimacy for the first time in years revealing that Tobias just might not be gay, just when the audience was starting to become so sure of it.

  The big moment of the episode though was clearly the Bluth-brother-brawl.

Yes, Buster bites.

To which Henry Winkler, returning as the lawyer, found it necessary to flee the scene of the crime for whatever reason while Marta furiously turned both, sorry all three, Bluth brothers down in the end.

And while an old flame is exposed, the "next Arrested Development" reveals that there might be some nude changes on the way...

Arrested to Arrested Development: 106 - Visiting Ours

"George Michael had been terrified of the very notion of prison since, as a young boy, he accidentally watched HBO’s Oz, mistaking it for the classic Judy Garland musical." Truth and honesty begin to show up in Visiting Ours . George Michael lies to Maeby about visiting pop-pop in prison to show he's not afraid, but clearly is, ("give pop-pop your hair") Tobias and Lindsay finally begin to open up about their marital problems and step into each other's jeans just to get down to the core issues and it's about that time where just about everybody's looking to find that special someone to get their sexual release.   As far as arresting character development goes, we start to see even the least likable characters start to show some Jekyll's to their Hydes. Mama Bluth is called out on not visiting pop-pop since he was put away and Michael suggests she give him what he... can't exactly get from his children, to which she mistakes for pride...

Arrested to Arrested Development: 119 - Best Man For the Gob

"Gilligan killed the skipper--I mean, stripper!" It is absolutely no secret that I tend to fall for the episodes where fast paced events take place, secrets and dastardly plots are whispered and lies and betrayal create plans that ultimately fail on a large scale... But then again, those tropes are nothing new to a show like Arrested Development.   It's very reminiscent to Pier Pressure in the sense in that it's related to a secret operation, many players involved, including Buster, who help ruin the operation and an involvement of male strippers dressed up as policemen... and other guests. Great moments include: "Annyong" Michael's office being either too cold or too hot... And essentially, the breakdown of the plot and highlight of the episode is as follows: Gob is to have a bachelor party for his new marriage with Amy Pohler.
